They made it through parade season, they made it through the tough practices, they made it through the performances. Who am I referring to? I am talking about the LOVELY ladies of North Florida Twirling Academy. From the first day of their practice the coaches only wanted what was best for the young ladies. After all they made their coaches proud and they made it to competition season.
This month is the month the ladies will participate in competition. During competition the girls must give their all.
What they young ladies have learned in practice will roll over to competition. The young ladies that qualify for the competition categories will have to perform in front of a judge, and show off their talents. The categories the ladies can partake in range from solos to duets. They are judged off some of the following, how well they twirl, how their techniques, their smile and many more categories. After showing off their talents the judge will place them from highest to lowest.
They will all the tools not only from practice but, from the critiques from the judges. The young ladies will also receive bragging rights. They have to compete against 7 to 13 other teams, if they come out on top, they have a lot to brag about. Once competition is over they can not lose focus. They have to prepare for their end of the year recital, which is in June.
